I caved and bought an authentic Midori. I had originally made a fauxdori and you can see that here, but I decided to give it as a Christmas gift to Ryan's niece to use as a sketch book. The leather quality is a tad nicer than that one I used to make the fauxdori and it's just constructed a lot better. It's a bit thinner in size and I really like how it feels in my hand.
I cannot wait to see how it distresses as I will be keeping it in my bag on the daily. This will be more of a sketch book / art book, I think. I will incorporate my travels into it as well and document where I'm at and what I'm doing.
My chocolate chip cookie paperclip looks nice with it. You can read more about those here.
