Title: Looking For Alaska

Author: John Green

Published: December 28, 2006 by Speak

I almost didn't read this because I really disliked The Fault In Our Stars. What I didn't like was the over-the-top language he gave to his teenage characters. No one talks like that.

In Looking For Alaska, the characters were a bit more real and I appreciated that. I found this novel to be enjoyable and the climax was quite the climax. I didn't see it coming. I didn't read any spoilers beforehand so it was a shock for me. I enjoyed Miles and The Colonel quite a bit, and really liked how Miles was into famous people's last words. The Last words wove through the story nicely.

I can't give this book 5 stars because it just wasn't that good. I don't think John Green does it for me like other authors (Murakami, King, Robbins, Dahl) do it for me.
