"I wish it were fin du globe," said Dorian with a sigh. "Life is a great disappointment."

Books Abandoned.

Angie P

Unfortunately I don't click with every book I pick up to read. There's also quite a bit of time wasted trying to find books that keep me interested (because I do read about 100 pages, give or take, to give it a chance.) Here's a list of what's been sitting as "drafts" in my blog--drafts that I'll probably now delete.

Ghost Story by Peter Straub : I've heard good things about this but I just couldn't get past page 100. It was interesting and then all of a sudden I didn't care. I had originally heard about this book because Stephen King recommended it and I usually love all his recommendations. Unfortunately, I feel like this is a dud.

Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs : I really liked Junky but I couldn't get into this novel.

The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan : This seemed promising and I wanted to give werewolves a chance, I guess I just don't care about this subject.

Raptor Red by Robert T. Bakker : I may come back to this one because of how unique it is. If I knew about this book when I was in middle school, I would have been all over it. It's in the point of view of a Raptor for crying out loud. But at the same time, it's weird and I discarded it for the time being.

What are some books you've abandoned recently?
