----------

Well this book was highly anticipated by like, a lot of people. It was, at one point, the highest rated book on goodreads.com (before it was even released.) Don't get me started on how annoying it is that there are reviews on goodreads before a book is released from people who squeal about the book cover image leaking online or how some posted their ideas on what the book was going to be called.  Detergent was a popular one.

So, I enjoyed the first two books, Divergent and Insurgent. They reminded me of the Hunger Games, but better, because I only read the first Hunger Games book and decided that was enough for me.

This book was disappointing on so many levels. The emotions, the inner dialogue and even the action sequences seemed fake and boring. I wasn't invested in any of the characters and if someone died, I didn't think twice. And, I really used to like Tris and Tobias. By the third book it was just tedious hearing them talk to one another, hearing them THINK about one another. True love, ya'll.

I will give Veronica Roth some credit for killing off a major character. I won't say who--but it was nice to see. There's so many books and TV shows that will not kill off anyone who's been there since the beginning. cough-I'M LOOKING AT YOU WALKING DEAD-cough

There isn't much else to say about this book, it's one of those that will be forgotten as time passes. Three stars for the death scene.
