August In Review : lafinduglobe

I could say this every month but August flew by. I worked a lot, went on a small vacation, and am slowly planning my 2016 nursing school year. I have so much to do before Christmas. So much.

+ Vacation! We went to Mackinaw Mill Creek Campgrounds, visited Tahquamenon Falls, Drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes and made a short stop at Charlevoix, Michigan. Feel free to check out the posts by clicking here.

+ All photos taken on my trip were taken with a Canon Tilt-Shift lens that I rented. I had fun with it and it's turning into a yearly tradition to use one.

+ Before my lens was due back, Ryan and I went up to the 40th floor of Rhodes Tower to take photos of Columbus.

+ I posted about my new shoes.

+ I celebrated two years of blogging

+ My job offered extra hour sign ups where we get paid double. We had to choose at least 12 hours and there's other stipulations like you can't call off, yadda yadda yadda. The extra money is always appreciated. I was able to get 12 extra hours (they went so fast) and luckily they were on weekends and Labor day so I get my weekend pay and holiday pay with the extra double pay.

+ I wrote about wanting a Hobonichi for my 13 months of upcoming nursing school.

+/- I sold my limited edition blue Midori Traveler's Notebook on eBay earlier this week because I just didn't use it like my brown one. The blue ended up not being a color that went well with me. I sold it for more than I paid so it's all good. I've been in a purging mood the past few months and have sold stuff that I just don't have the need for and only keeping things that I actually use.

- R.I.P to one of my favorite authors and scientific minds, Dr. Oliver Sacks.

- A terrible live shooting happened on the 26th of August. What was just going to be a routine morning news segment turned into a live murder. Crazy.

As always, you can check out my planner's monthly spread, here.
