On day two of our stay at Mackinaw we decided to drive an hour and a half north west to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We had no idea what to expect but man was it something. There are lower falls and an upper falls that is 4 miles away. People were on boats, hiking, and taking photos; It was a really peaceful place. The temperature was much cooler up north which made the hiking perfectly doable.
For some reason I didn't take any photos of the Upper Falls with my camera but have a few from my phone:
We may make Paradise, MI a camping destination at some point. We like the idea of going more and more north and camping in less populated areas. We'll see!
