I have a thing for dioramas and miniature figurines used in terrariums. When I saw that Columbus had a Miniature Society and were showing their work, I had to go. The upside was that I saw many works of art and there was a whole room of vendors selling everything from miniature furniture to miniature vodka bottles. The downside was that the average member seemed to be 70 years old! I was hoping to find miniature people for sale but there were none.
The star of the show was the image below of the Bates House. I also really liked all the miniature cats for sale but I didn't find any that looked like Mona or Dorian.
There really is a group or society for any hobby imaginable. While most of what was shown wasn't my style, it's cool that people have passion about this.
