Fancy Fast Food is a blog that's been on my radar for years. I've always thought it was fun and creative. There was another story, last week actually, where two friends deconstructed a Big Mac meal and had Reddit vote on which one was fancier.
I've always secretly wanted to do this so I got Ryan on board to make this the Saturday Juxtaposition of the week!
As for the rules, all ingredients used were provided with the fast food meals. No outside condiments, sesame seeds, meat, etc is allowed. You can design your food with anything available in your kitchen (knives, cookie cutters, random utensils.) You don't have to eat the results, it will most likely go cold once making and photographing is complete. *we did not eat these.*
Hers : I went with trying to tell a story with my food. This is the aftermath of a bear attack at a camp site! Please take note of the bloody bear prints. The rest was just playing with shapes and turning the lettuce, special sauce and pickles into a slaw. A little burger was made, in the top left of the plate, to pay homage to what this meal once was.
His : Ryan went the super fancy route and created a little bite of burger and a drink garnished with beef. The drink consisted of pureed Big Mac.
What do you think? I challenge all of you to do this! If you do, please link me to your images in the comments!
