+ Spring semester began and I'm glad to be back in school and working towards my goal. I am taking Microbiology and Statistics and am almost done with my requirements for an accelerated nursing program! Microbiology is pretty cool so far and I'm loving the lab much more than my past lab classes (like Physiology--such a horrible lab where every experiment was a computer simulation.) In this class, we are working with real microbes, microscopes and staining techniques!
+ We saw "Her" the movie and it was so good. I was pumped for a Joaquin Phoenix film and he was great in it. The colors in the film were really nice, muted pinks and neutrals.
+ I was able to finally get to Sephora and purchase a Marc Jacobs nail polish. I got their dark gray color named "Evelyn". Ryan got me "Sally" for my birthday. Now I want to own every Marc Jacobs polish. Their bottles are super nice.
+ I finished reading The Book Thief. It was intense but in a good way--super engaging and very well written. I totally cried like a baby reading the last 40 or so pages. Book review, here.
+ Exciting reading happening this month and into next. I finally got my hands on Jagannath by Karin Tidbeck and The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by Oliver Sacks. I've been pining for these two for so long.
+ Purchased a Wreck This Journal and will slowly make my way through that along with my 30 Before 30 list. I won't be officially starting the Wreck This Journal challenge until Spring so there's still time if YOU want to buy one and join in on the fun.
+ I turned 29 on the 27th of this month. Ryan got me a cake, a nail polish (another Marc Jacobs!) and a pair of Nike Air Max shoes (that I need to return for a smaller size.) Kristyn sent me an Amazon gift card which was so nice and unexpected.
- It was a cold month (-40 degree wind-chills !!!) We had to buy a little radiator for the bedroom to keep it warm. We usually just turn it on for a few hours before bed and keep the door closed. It makes the room nice and toasty. Even though our apartment is chilly, it isn't that bad.
- I've been super tired this month and I think a lot of it has to do with how cold it is. I just miss going for walks. I miss patios and I miss open windows with my cats sunbathing.
