October is the last month of the year that I truly enjoy. I always dread November and December because it's full of holidays and horrible commercials and having to spend more money than usual.
But I digress.
+ We adopted Dorian. It's been almost two weeks and he is really coming out of his shell. We have been introducing him to the apartment as a whole and he's enjoying sitting on the couch with us, walking all over our laptops, and playing with my iPad. Mona has been acting friendlier so I have high hopes that soon they will be able to be in the apartment unsupervised.
+ I completed my goodreads goal for this year. I read Allegiant by Veronica Roth and reviewed it here on my blog. It was a disappointing 3rd and final book of the series. I started reading Doomed by Chuck Palahniuk but abandoned it for the time being to read Hard-Boiled Wonderland And The End of The World by Haruki Murakami (which will be my first book of November.)
+ American Horror Story: Coven premiered this month. I'm so in love with this series and how each season is it's own entity. I look forward to it every Wednesday. Love Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates.
+ The Simpson's Tapped Out (an apple/android app) has been so much fun this month. I've been addicted to the game for almost 2 years--I know, crazy. There's something about the Halloween updates that makes me remember being little watching the Tree House of Horrors episodes on TV. This year we had to tap on ghosts to gain personal and community prizes.
+ I tried a Halloween Cadbury Creme Egg. The only difference is that it had green in the center instead of it looking like an egg with a yolk. And yet, it tasted more amazing than I remember the original to taste. I'm just happy that they're available twice a year.
- The Walking Dead premiered this month and I'm pretty indifferent towards it. I've been reading the comics monthly (3 years now) and unfortunately the show cannot compare with the action and gore the comics hold. There just really isn't any depth to the characters on the show. But, I do love Michonne and Daryl if I had to choose.
- Work. (I don't think work will ever be in the plus part of these updates until I get my damn degree.)
- A cancer diagnosis in Ryan's family.
